Compass specializes in luxury real estate, where every detail matters to discerning clients.
High-end agents often create magazine-style books for their clients. This task was always cumbersome for them, but during COVID the results felt lackluster, as sending large PDFs not only lacked the impact that their tangible artifacts had, but often failed to send due to their file size. The agents needed an elevated way to share these documents digitally.
After interviewing agents to better understand their workflows and needs, I came to understand that some of the top agents already used digital magazines to share their work, but their workflow was cumbersome and the cost was unobtainable for many agents.
Working closely with product, engineering, and our Compass agents, I simplified their process and saved them time by creating an easy to use, digital magazine that was integrated into Compass' Marketing Center. To make these possible I added features to easily import existing data and manage long documents more effectively. Agents could then share a link to an animated version of the document or export it as a PDF, maintaining their traditional approach.
